Strengthening Families and Preventing Crisis: The Mission of My Village Ministries

My Village Ministries seeks to mobilize the local church to be the consistent care and community for the socially isolated family facing crisis. We believe God has called His church to serve the vulnerable in word and deed by meeting tangible needs and sharing the gospel. We have seen a powerful impact when we step in to support families preventatively instead of waiting for a larger crisis. My Village Ministries hosts children in the homes of our host families for a short period of time, without the parent losing custody, with the goal of reunifying families quickly and strengthening them for the long haul. This preventative measure has led to families being preserved twice as often as in foster care for a fraction of the cost and with drastically improved long-term impacts on the family!
