Empowering Mothers and Strengthening Families: Faith-Based Pregnancy Support at the Evangelical Child & Family Agency

We are honored to highlight the amazing Non-Profit organization, the Evangelical Child & Family Agency. One of the many amazing things that the Evangelical Child & Family Agency does is provide pregnancy support services.

Read the testimony below from their Pregnancy Support Supervisor to be inspired and to learn more about what they offer:

“I began working with “Cindy” when she was three months pregnant. She was happily married but had recently suffered a miscarriage.

Cindy had a lot of fear and anxiety going into this pregnancy about maintaining the pregnancy and having a healthy baby. During the months before delivery, I helped her gain skills to manage her anxiety and dig into her faith history. She was raised Catholic, so she had a spiritual foundation. I helped her to develop some healthy habits of praying and reading scripture. I gave her a Bible as she didn’t have one. I provided her with reminders of God’s faithfulness throughout her life. Cindy had a beautiful baby boy! As he grew, it was evident that he needed some special interventions to help him build muscle and gain skills to aid in his development. Although this was a difficult time, Cindy celebrated that she was blessed to be this wonderful little boy’s mom. Cindy grew in her confidence and her ability to provide care for her son. She also grew in her relationship with the Lord and her dependence on Him. She began to have spiritual discussions with her husband, and they began to go to church as a family. Cindy even joined our online New Moms Bible Study. Cindy has a mentor from the PSS program, and together they talk about Christian parenting, marriage, and living so that Cindy can incorporate more Christian principles in her family.”
